Safety tips

Your safety is important to us. Follow these tips for a safer experience on the platform.

Košnica does not verify businesses

We do not verify the identity, qualifications, licenses or history of businesses. Be careful and always verify relevant information before hiring.

For customers (when hiring someone)

1. Before contact

Read reviews and ratings - Pay attention to other users' experiences, especially recent reviews.

Check profile completeness - Profiles with photos, descriptions and reviews are usually more reliable.

Be cautious with new profiles - New profiles without reviews require extra caution.

2. Communication

Use the platform for initial communication - Messages are saved and serve as proof of agreement.

Don't share more information than necessary - An address is sufficient, don't share financial or other sensitive data.

Be cautious if someone asks for advance payment - Especially for larger amounts or from unknown businesses.

3. Meeting

If possible, don't be alone - If possible, have someone with you when expecting a service provider.

Notify someone - Tell a friend or family member that you're expecting a service provider.

Ask for credentials - For services requiring expertise (electrical, gas, etc.), ask to see relevant licenses.

4. Payment

Agree on price IN ADVANCE - Clearly define the price before starting work, preferably in writing.

Avoid large advance payments - If an advance is necessary, keep it as small as possible.

Ask for a receipt or confirmation - Especially for larger jobs.

5. After service

Leave an honest review - Help others make an informed decision.

Report issues immediately - If you had a bad experience, report it while the details are fresh.

For businesses (when visiting a client)

Before the job

  • Confirm all details in advance - address, time, scope of work
  • Be cautious with suspicious requests or unusual locations

On site

  • Let someone know where you're going - send the address to a friend or family member
  • Trust your instincts - if something seems wrong, leave the situation

Payment

  • Clearly communicate prices before starting work
  • Agree on payment method in advance

Professionalism

  • Stick to the agreed work
  • Respect the client's privacy

Warning signs (for both sides)

  • Pressure for quick decisions

"You must decide now" or "This offer is only valid today"

  • Requests for unusual payment methods

Cryptocurrencies, gift cards, transfers to foreign accounts

  • Refusal to provide basic information

Won't provide company name, address, or phone number

  • Too-good-to-be-true offers

If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true
